Will interior drainage stop water coming through my sandstone wall?
It will manage water that reaches the footing, which is most of it. But if water is moving through the body of the stone higher up the wall, drainage alone will not stop the wall itself deteriorating — it will only stop the floor being wet. On a spalling sandstone foundation the right sequence is usually repointing first, then drainage. We will tell you if that is what you are looking at.
Where will the water discharge to?
To an approved outlet, well away from the foundation, and never into the sanitary sewer. Zanesville ordinance 923.09 prohibits discharging foundation drains into the sanitary sewer, and if the City identifies an illegal connection the owner has ninety days to remove it at their own cost. We plan the discharge route as part of the quote, because on some lots the nearest legal outlet is a long run and that affects the price.
Do I need a battery backup pump?
It depends on what a failure would cost you. The worst storms are exactly when the power goes out, so a pump with no backup is offline at the moment it is needed most.
